Rename a channel

A channel’s name can be in any language, and can include spaces, punctuation, and Unicode emoji.

  1. Click on the gear () icon in the upper right corner of the web or desktop app.
  2. Select Channel settings.
  3. Click All in the upper left.
  4. Select a channel.
  5. Select the General tab on the right.
  6. Click the edit channel name and description () icon to the right of the channel name, and enter a new channel name.
  7. Click Save changes.
